Netherlands-funded underground water project benefits Ninh Thuan

Ninh Thuan (VNA) – A project to supply underground water resources to the southern province of Ninh Thuan , funded by the Dutch Government has been completed, benefiting local farmers.

The project, which received 400,000 euros in non-refundable aid from the Dutch Government’s Partners for Water programme, helped to build two dams and 13 canals on 22 ha of hill land on Tra Bang mountain in Phuoc Nam commune, Ninh Phuoc district.

The project aims to create more water resources to improve the standards of living and raise production levels for local farmers in arid areas by improving the underground water resources through technical solutions.

The project is also expected to diminish the impact of floods, droughts and landslides in the area.-Enditem
