Prime Minister meets with Vietnamese diplomats overseas

(VGP - 23/04/2012) – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has expressed his hopes that Vietnamese Ambassadors and Chief Representatives to foreign countries will try their best to bring benefits to the nation and contribute to establishing a peaceful and stable environment.

The PM made the statement on April 23 at his reception for Vietnamese Ambassadors and Chief Representatives overseas in the period from 2012-2015.

PM Dung required them to introduce Viet Nam’s diplomatic policies to international partners to increase trust and promote understanding between Viet Nam and other nations around the world.

He also asked them to focus on economic, diplomatic and cultural activities to expand the country’s export markets, boost exchange and investment activities, attract more Official Development Assistance (ODA), speed up tourism and strengthen cooperation in education and training.

The PM proposed the Ambassadors and Chief Representatives to pay attention to the overseas Vietnamese communities.

On behalf of the Ambassadors and Chief Representatives, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung promised to make efforts to coordinate with relevant ministries and localities to realize the State diplomatic guidelines and policies and complete their missions.
